A fashion webshop built for thumbs

Nine out of ten Kumbet visitors arrive on a phone. The shop was designed on a desktop. We rebuilt it mobile-first on a headless stack, with browsing that feels instant and a checkout with nothing left to think about.

The challenge

Slow category pages, a five-step checkout and filters that reloaded the page. Mobile visitors dropped out before they ever saw a product detail page.

Approach

  1. 01

Rebuilt listings with instant client-side filtering and image-first cards.

  2. 02

Reduced checkout to two steps with address autofill and wallet payments.

  3. 03

Set a strict performance budget and enforced it in CI.

  4. 04

Designed a compact type and spacing system that scales from 360px up.

Outcome

Category pages render in well under a second on 4G, and the checkout drop-off that was losing most of the mobile traffic largely disappeared.
